Navaratri Dasara Saraswati Puja 2022 Date and Timings

Saraswati Puja is celebrated twice a year, once on the day of Ayudha Puja during the Navaratri festival days (popular in South India) in September/October and once on Vasant Panchami in January/February. Saraswati Puja, which takes place during Vasant Panchami, is the more popular of the two.

  • The Navratri Saraswati puja rites begin on Monday, October 3, while the Ayudha Puja / Saraswati Puja 2022 is on Tuesday, October 4.
  • Purva Ashadha Puja Muhurat: October 3rd, 6:23 a.m. to October 3rd, 12:15 p.m.

2022 Saraswati Puja: Puja Vidhi

  1. Make sure the house is tidy before beginning Saraswati puja.
  2. Books, notes, pens, and pencils must also be cleaned and stored in the puja room.
  3. Maa Saraswati’s idol is worshipped on this auspicious day.
  4. Devotees also practice installing ‘kolu’ in their homes as part of the Navratri celebrations.
  5. It is a tiny exhibition of Gods, Goddesses, animals, birds, spiritual people, and artwork.
  6. Goddess Saraswati wears a white saree, and a white swan (her Vahan) must be connected to her idol.
  7. The puja is performed by presenting white items such as white flowers, white rangoli, and white sesame seeds.
  8. While performing Saraswati Puja, devotees may also choose to dress in white.
  9. The white lily is also thought to be the Goddess’s favorite flower.
  10. Children place their books and stationery items to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.
