Sri Shanmukha Swamy:
He is ordinarily addressed as an energetic man, with a peacock close to him. A few portrayals, like this one, show him with six heads, mirroring the legend around his introduction to the world, where six moms probably dealt with him as another conceived child. Among the two children of Shiva and Parvathi, Shanmukha is loved in various structures. Shanmukha is viewed as an extraordinary fighter in Hindu folklore and is known by different names. He is called Subrahmanya by the Kannadigas and for Tamilians, he is Murugan. The name Shanmukha signifies ‘six appearances. Thus, the sanctuary tower is embellished by the six essences of Shanmukha. This delightful sanctuary was planned by Dr. R. Arunachalam and presumably, it is one of the colorful sanctuaries in Bangalore.

గిరితనయాసుత గాంగపయోదిత గంధసువాసిత బాలతనో
గుణగణభూషణ కోమలభాషణ క్రౌంచవిదారణ కుందతనో ।
గజముఖసోదర దుర్జయదానవసంఘవినాశక దివ్యతనో

ప్రతిగిరిసంస్థిత భక్తహృదిస్థిత పుత్రధనప్రద రమ్యతనో
భవభయమోచక భాగ్యవిధాయక భూసుతవార సుపూజ్యతనో ।
బహుభుజశోభిత బంధవిమోచక బోధఫలప్రద బోధతనో

శమధనమానిత మౌనిహృదాలయ మోక్షకృదాలయ ముగ్ధతనో
