As per Sanathana Dharma, The Holi festival includes the popular legend of Hiranyakashyap, who was the father of Bhakta Prahlada, the demon king who wanted to be immortal. As per instructions from Demon King Hiranyakashyapa, Demon Holika sat in the fire with Prahlad, But the fire couldn’t touch Bhakta Prahlad. And it killed Demon Holika.
