Tirumala TTD Pushpayagam Celebration:
The Shravananakshatra festival, which falls on the first day of Kartika, will be celebrated at the Tirumala Srivari temple with a Pushpayaga mahotsavam. On October 31, Ankurarpan performed Pushpa Yaga. TTD cancels Sahasradeepalankarana service due to Ankurarpanam.
On the day of Pushpayagam, after the second bell, the second Archana, and offers are made at the temple, Sridevi Bhudevi and the Sri Malayappaswamy utsava are welcomed to the Kalyana Mandapam in Sampangi Pradakshinam, where Snapanathirumanjanam is performed. This comprises a specific Abhishek performed with milk, curd, honey, sandalwood, turmeric, and other components. From 1 to 5 p.m., Pushpa Yagam is performed with various flowers and leaves. Lord Srimalayappaswamy visits the devotees in the four Mada streets of the temple in the evening after the Sahasradeepalankarana rite.
TTD was compelled to postpone the Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, and Brahmotsavam celebrations as a result of this. According to inscriptions, this Pushpayaga Mahotsav has been held since the 15th century with the purpose of making the nation prosperous and green. According to legend, flowers were previously offered to the Lord on the seventh day of the flag-raising ceremony during the Brahmotsavams. Following that, on November 14, 1980, TTD revived the Pushpayaga Mahotsav, which is now observed yearly on Shravana Nakshatra Parvadina in the month of Kartika.
