  As the temple is dedicated to the Lord Shiva Hindus come to worship the Prana linga and Aatmalinga of Lord Shiva. This temple is one of the seven muktishetras of the Hindus, So many people like to visit the temple.

Many people visit the temple in the winter season that is from October to February because in the winter season there is no humidity so the environment is very cool and fresh air so people offer their prayers to Lord Shiva and take around the beaches, other tourist spots and shopping areas.  So people dislike visiting the temple during the summer and monsoon seasons due to the unconditional weather. In the winter season, a cool temperature takes place and it goes up to 32 degrees Celsius.

All types of transport facilities are available to reach the Gokarna Mahabaleshwar temple we can reach the temple by roadways, railways, and airways. If we want to reach the temple by roadway we can get off at the nearest bus station which is 600 meters from the temple. The distance from Goa to the temple is 135 Km it takes nearly 4 hours to reach from Bengaluru to Gokarna it is 930 km it takes nearly 10 hrs to reach.

The temple opens at 6.00 am in the morning and closes at 8 pm every day.  We can visit the temple from 6 am to 12.30 pm and 5 to 8 pm.  There is no entry fee to enter the temple.
