History of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple:

The Chola King named Kuloththunga gave a clue that this temple is from his time. Another chief of velanadu, Chief Gonka-111 (1137 – 1156) covered the image with gold, and the Eastern Ganga king of Odisha Narasimha Deva – 11 (1279 – 1306) built the central temple. The deity of this temple is Tribhanga Posture with two hands and the head of a lion on the human body. There are nearly 250 legends who described the past of Simhachalam Temple.

Simhachalam Temple Darshan Timings and Online Tickets Booking

In Simhachalam Temple they provide free darshan to the pilgrims and this temple is open on all days of the week. Simhachalam temple timings are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. For special darshan, they need to pay INR 100 per devotee. Tickets can be bought from the temple ticket counter, and there is no facility for online pooja booking.
