Sravana Mangala Gowri Vratam Dates 2021
Mangala Gowri vratham is also known as Sravana Mangala Gowri pooja, which can be performed by married women for their husbands. This is to please goddess Parvathi who is a symbol of power to remove their upheavals and fulfill their happiness. This Mangala Gowri Vratham will be celebrated every Tuesday of Sravana Masam. Thora Bandhanam(Holy Yellow-colored Thread which has 5 knots) and Raksha Dharanam(Black Soot) are the main things in this pooja. Married women would pray to goddess Parvathi for their husband’s health, wealth, and Success in their lives.
