The principal divinity Vijayaraghava Perumal will be seen here in a sitting stance holding Jatayu on his thigh and pointing toward the East, to check the significance of Jatayu’s dedication. Processional god on Jatayu Vahanam (Vehicle) will be taken out in a parade on Jatayu Vahanam during the yearly celebration. There is a different place of worship for Margathavalli Thayar inside the sanctuary complex.
An astonishing reality related to this sanctuary is, that there is a stone pony Vahanam (vehicle) with moving appendages. To regard the commitment of the stone worker, on the eighth day of the yearly celebration, processional divinity on Aswa Vahanam (Horse Vehicle) will be taken out in a parade around the road which was named after the stone carver.
