Idols representing Krishna’s wives, Rukmini and Satyabhama, may also be found at this place. In the first version of the temple, Sri Parthasarathi sat atop the main altar. Around the year 1130 A.D., the god known as “Sri Ramanuja” was expanded to include “Sri Govindaraja.”
The neighboring temple is dedicated to Sri Ramanuja, and there is a ‘Kurma’ Deity, which depicts Lord Vishnu as a tortoise, to the left of the second entrance to the shrine. On the second gopuram, there are further sculptures that portray scenes from the Ramayana and Lord Krishna’s adventures, both of which take place in the forest.

The Sri Govindarajaswamy Temple is a massive complex that has a number of smaller shrines and temples inside it. Among the sub-shrines, the Parthasarathy temples and the Kalyana Venkateswara Temple are considered to be the most important. There are other shrines that are devoted to Lakshmi Narayana Swamy, Anjaneya, Pundarikavalli, Andal, Chakratalwar, Alwars, and Pundarikavalli, as well as Bhashyakars and Tirumala Nambi.
