Kartik Purnima is a five-day festival celebrated in India. The main festival will begin on the day known as Prabodhani Ekadashi. This marks the commencement of the Gods’ return to the heavens following their brief time on Earth. Furthermore, this event marks the end of Chaturmas, a four-month period during which Lord Vishnu slept. Ekadashi falls on the eleventh day of Shukla Paksha, whereas Purnima falls on the fifteenth day of the same month.
On this day, burning a lamp donated to any temple, pagoda, or riverside is also considered extremely auspicious. On this day, it is believed that donating a lamp to charity will bring the blessings of all the deities.
