History of Kalyana Venkateswara Temple – Srinivasa Mangapuram

Lord Balaji married Goddess Padmavathi Devi who is the daughter of King Akasha Raja. They went off to the Srinivasa Mangapuram after their marriage and stayed there for a long time. Lord Venkatesha Stayed There so that the name is called Srinivasa Mangapuram. So the newly married couple will compulsory go to Srinivasa Mangapuram immediately after their marriage and darshan the lord in this temple.

After some days, Padmavathi and Balaji decided to go to Tirumala. Venkateswara made two promises. Lord Venkatesha married Padmavathi Devi in Mangapuram Village, so the god name in that temple is Sri Kalyana Venkateshwara Swamy. There is a strong belief that the idol of Kalyana Venkateshwara Swamy in Srinivasa Mangapuram is the same as the Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala.
