When is Narasimha Jayanti 2022?

Narsimha Jayanti is one of the important festivals to the Hindus who live in India. This festival is celebrated on Chaturdashi in Vishakha masam in the Shukla Paksha. Narasimha avatharam is the fourth avatar of  Lord Vishnu . In this avatharam the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy has a lion head and claws with a human body. Narasimha Jayanti is celebrated  on May 14th  2022, Saturday. The people believed that Lord Lakshmi Narsimha Swamy had visioned during the sunset on Chaturdashi so that the pooja of this god is performed during this time. The main purpose of Narasimha Jayanti is to remove inquiry (adharmam) and to follow the charity (dharmam). We will see When is Narasimha Jayanti 2022.

Rituals of the day:

Important poojas will be performed on this day with the picture or idol of Lord Narasimha and Lakshmi. Pilgrims should wake up early in the morning during the Brahma muhurtham and take a bath. While going to temple the people should wear fresh and new clothes on that day. Devotees perform pooja to Narasimha Swamy. This pooja should be done with their family, friends and relatives presenting things like sweets, Kumkum, flowers and coconut to god.

Fasting on Narasimha Jayanthi begins with sunrise on that day and ends on the next day’s sunrise. The devotees will be fasting on the full day even without cereals and grains.
