Murugan Temple Siruvapuri Daily Pooja Seva Timings Booking in List:
Suprabhatham: The Suprabhatham is the first Seva which is going to start in the day. It is done to wake Lord Murugan from his holy sleep. It involves singing and the Veda mantra to praise Lord Subrahmanya Swamy. Also, This Seva includes traditional instruments like the nadaswaram and drums playing in the background.
Abhishekam: Abhishekam is the very important seva that is performed to the moola Murthy (Main Idol) in the Grabha Gruha (Inside the Temple). This Seva will be performed after the Suprabhatham. On this Seva, Devotees can participate and have the darshanam of the Muruga. While doing Abhishekam (which is a sacred bath), milk, honey, sandalwood paste, turmeric water, and holy water will be used to shower on Lord Murugan Vigraham.
Alankaram: After the abhishekam, new clothes, jewelry, and flower wreaths are put on the image, which adds to its divine beauty. Devotees can watch this beautiful change and say their prayers at this time. The smell of fresh flowers and candles fills the temple, giving it an air of spiritual holiness.
Archana: The main archana (worship) starts after Lord Subrahmanya Swamy is decorated with Flowers and Jewels. While Doing archana seva, Archaka chants the 108 sacred names of Lord Murugan Which is called Ashtottaram. Devotees will be offered flowers, sacred ash (vibhuti), and holy water after the Archana.
Deeparadhana: This Deeparadhana seva will be done in the evening seva. During these times, the Archaka do Deeparadhana, which is a Light ceremony waving in front of the god. The lights would be lightened with Cow ghee. Devotees take part in this Deeparadhana Seva by lighting their own lamps and praying hard for their own health and happiness.
Ekantha Sevai: Last Seva in the Temple is Ekantha Sevai, which is done at 08 PM. The Thai Poosam is the most important event here. It takes place in the Tamil month of Thai (January-February). During this event, devotees participate and celebrate the event as a grand success.
