- By train: Tirupati Railway Station is the main railhead at the foot of the hills.
- By road: Frequent APSRTC buses and taxis run from Tirupati town up the ghat road to Tirumala; many pilgrims also walk the traditional footpath (Alipiri or Srivari Mettu).
