About Ayudha Puja

Ayudha Puja, also known as Ayudha Pooja, is an annual Hindu festival held on the ninth day of Navaratri. Also referred to as Astra Puja. Since it is a significant and traditional holiday, working people like to schedule time off so they may enjoy themselves with their friends and relatives.

How is Ayudha Puja Celebrated in the Various States?

In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the festival is known as Ayudha Pooja; in Tamil Nadu, it is known as Ayudha Pujai; and in Kerala, it is known as Ayudha Puja. In the Northern East, this day is known as Maha Navami. In Karnataka, it is observed on the ninth day of Dussehra.

About Ayudha Pooja 2022:

It is a day to express gratitude for all the tools that are indispensable to our lives. On the day of the celebration, the instruments that are venerated include minor items like as spanners, scissors, and pins, as well as larger items such as automobiles and machines. People also venerate Saraswati, the Goddess of Wisdom, Lakshmi, the Goddess of riches, and Parvati, also known as the holy mother. People believe that Ayudha Pooja will bring them success if they worship the instruments. Ayudha Puja is a festival commemorating victory over evil.

Traditions of Ayudha Pooja 2022:

People clean their instruments, tools, and automobiles before worshipping them. Additionally, businessmen clean their stores and do pooja. After the puja, stores will close. Ayudha Puja is a sacred day for the veneration of business books, school books, etc. People dress in traditional attire in preparation for the various ceremonies of the celebration and exchange festival greetings.

Vijayadashami 2022 as Per Telugu Panchangam:

Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, Dasara, and Dashain, is a significant Hindu festival celebrated annually at the conclusion of Navaratri. It is observed on the tenth day of the Hindu calendar month of Ashvin, the seventh month of the Hindu Luni-Solar Calendar, which falls between September and October on the Gregorian calendar.

Vijayadashami is recognized for many reasons and is celebrated in a variety of ways across the Indian subcontinent. Vijayadashami commemorates goddess Durga’s victory over the buffalo monster Mahishasura to restore and defend dharma in the southern, eastern, northeastern, and certain northern states of India. In the northern, central, and western states, Dussehra is a synonym for the event (also spelled Dasara, Dashahara). In these places, it signifies the end of Ramlila and commemorates the victory of the god Rama over Ravana. Alternately, it signifies respect for a facet of the goddess Devi, such as Durga or Saraswati.
