When is Saraswati Puja?
Saraswati Puja is observed twice a year, once on the day of Ayudha Puja during the Navaratri festival days (popular in South India) in September/October and again on the day of Vasant Panchami in January/February. The celebration of Saraswati Puja during Vasant Panchami is more common in India than in Nepal.

Significance of the Saraswati Puja festival:
Goddess Saraswati is regarded as a water deity in Hindu mythology and is revered for her cleanliness and enlightening powers. It is also well-known that the goddess Saraswati created Sanskrit, which is the language of scriptures, scholars, and Brahmins.
Saraswati puja is observed by Hindus all around the world. This event is crucial primarily for scholars and students who worship Goddess Saraswati with devotion in order to obtain learning and knowledge. On the tenth day of Navaratri, the festival of Vidyarambham is observed. On this day, children are blessed and exposed to the realm of letters for the first time.
How the Saraswathi Poojai is it observed?
On the day of Saraswati puja, Hindus worship the goddess Saraswati and make offerings to the Devi in hopes of receiving her blessings. As part of the festivities, Kamadeva, the lord of love, is also worshipped, and Brahmins are fed. Pitru Tarpan, a sort of ancestral worship, is also done on this day. On the auspicious day of Saraswati puja, children are made to write their first words. Pushpanjali is presented as an offering to the Goddess of Knowledge.
The color yellow has great significance on this day, and people typically wear yellow clothing and bake yellow confections. The yellow-clad goddess is presented with sweets, fruits, roli, moli, and yellow-colored flowers. Evening cultural programs are hosted.
