According to Valmiki Ramayana & Puranas, Lord Sri Rama is the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. Sri Rama Navami is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Sri Rama. Lord Sri Rama was born to King Dasaratha and Queen Kausalya. As per the Telugu calendar, the celebration of Sri Ramanavami on Chaitra Masam Shukla paksha Navami. On the Occasion of chaitra Navaratri, Sri Ramanavami is usually celebrated on the ninth day. As per Regular English calender Sri Ramanavami will come between in the month of March or April. The birthplace of Lord Lord Sri Rama is in Ayodhya. As per Puranas & Shastra, We have Seven Moksha places, Among Them Sri Rama Birth Place Ayodhya is 1st one. Sumitra, Kaikeyi, and Kousalya performed a yagnam for conceiving a baby on the advice of Vashista Rushi. After the yagnam, the lord of yagnam gave them Kheer. After eating Kheer, the three queens gave birth to sons. Kousalya gave birth to Rama, Sumitra gave birth to Laxmana, Kaikeyi gave birth to Bharatha and Shatrugna. Lord Rama became the king of Ayodhya but he had to step back due to a conspiracy and was sent to exile for up to 14 years. But when he came back he ruled Ayodhya again.
