The 1981-constructed Malibu Hindu Temple is a temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Venkateswara and is situated in the Santa Monica Mountains in the city of Calabasas, close to Malibu, California. The Hindu Temple Society of Southern California owns and runs it. It is a popular destination for Hindus in Southern California and was constructed in the classic South Indian style.

On the temple’s grounds, the priests are housed and dwell. The temple hosts numerous events offers lots of areas for meditation and picnics and has a large stage for unique cultural and Hindu performances.

The Hindu Malibu temple is divided into two sections:

The upper complex, where Lord Venkateswara is the presiding deity, and the lower complex, where Lord Shiva is. Both complexes feature shrines for additional gods in addition to the one that serves as the presiding deity.

10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The Temple still provides nearly all services.

  1. Summer 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.
  2. winter 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 5-7 p.m
  3. 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends

Online offerings to the temple of Sri Venkateswara California:

the Hindu Temple Society of Southern California intends to use the funds for the temple’s operating expenses and wages. The temple retains the right to use the contributions for additional, advantageous purposes.

Live streaming schedule for Pooja :

  • It will be provided here as soon as it is ready. Please be aware that up until further notice, the temple will not be hosting any live abhisheka or maha aarthis.
  • Only Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM outdoor services will still be provided by the temple. From Monday through Friday, it won’t be open to the public during the week.
