Mother Adhi Parasakthi, who is three feet tall, is depicted in a sitting position with her right leg on the floor and her left leg resting on the lotus-shaped phallus, signifying that She is the All-Supreme. In her right hand, the mother is clutching a lotus bud. Gods and Goddesses are traditionally created with four hands. However, Mother Adhi Parasakthi only makes an appearance with two hands here, as she does in the Madurai Sri Meenakshi Amman temple. According to legend, similar forms with two hands are used in locations where the Goddess once performed in a human form. Her hair is tied up in a high wisdom knot.
Mother is depicted seated on a lotus phallus, signifying that She is in the hearts of her followers.
